Cycling in Hong Kong
In Hong Kong’s densely crowded downtown it might be hard to imagine that the city has any cycling opportunities. But on these cycling routes, which will take you along leafy cycling tracks with mountain and sea views and fascinating cultural landmarks, you’ll find it hard to imagine you are so close to the downtown.
Cycling in Hong Kong is an efficient way to travel, rich with terrain varying from flat urban rides to challenging climbs. Terrain and temperature vary with elevation, so plan your gear accordingly. Regardless of whether you choose leisurely sightseeing or a go-getter day in the saddle, be sure to pause and take in views across the water.
At Smooth Ride we take a relaxed approach to cycling, no latex jerseys and dropped bar racing bikes here! Instead our urban tours us our fleet of classic bicycles, each with her/is own name and personality. For the countryside tours, we use our geared bikes for the full day's cycle.
